Director of Marketing:
Upland Country Day School, a small co-educational Pre-Kindergarten through Ninth grade independent school serving families in the Brandywine Valley, has decided to create a new position focused on (a) increasing the visibility of the school to existing and new constituencies, and (b) developing a singular message to increase awareness and positive perceptions of the school. While the focus of the role will initially be to create and strengthen current networks within groups of alumni, current families and the local geographic area with a goal toward increasing enrollment interest in the school, these networks will be important in Development and further public relations objectives in the future.
The Director of Marketing will report to the Head of School, will be a member of the leadership team, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining and executing a strategic marketing plan for Upland Country Day School. This individual will be a politically astute, creative and strategic marketing professional able to recognize the unique attributes of the school and to develop opportunities to communicate these attributes in a manner that furthers its mission and strategic objectives. Responsibilities will include collaborating with various departments in defining and strengthening the school's brand, strategic positioning, competitor differentiation, and ensuring a consistent message across the school's internal and external communities (events, publications, written media, and web content).
